BRATISLAVA – For the next season in the ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE the iClinic Bratislava Capitals have set their goalie duo. Connor LaCouvee has been signed from the Tuscon Roadrunners in the AHL. The 26 year old Canadian played 28 games in the AHL for the Utica Comets, Laval Rocket and Tuscon Roadrunners. LaCouvee won the juniors NCAA (Hockey East Championship). Slovakia is not an unknown for Connor LaCouvee who started last season in Dukla Trenčín, however left due to a chance to compete for an NHL spot.

The Capitals in addition managed to extend the contract with Samuel Baroš. The 27 year old goalie from Bratislava played 25 games last season with a save percentage over 90%.

“We were in touch with Connor prior to his engagement with Dukla Trenčín, at that time his AHL team did not want to let him go. We could not wait at that time and agreed a contract with Jared Coreau. He is a fast moving goalie who wants to work on his improvement. Samo Baroš especially in the first part of last season helped our team win games, I am happy he will continue with us next season” said vice-president of the club Dušan Pašek.
